A craft fail and a win!

I am still so addicted to cutting vinyl with my cricut. I am endlessly looking for things to decorate and this is my latest love…….

This project came about because my son has the same water bottle as another boy in his class and I wanted a way that he could easily tell them apart. But of course I couldn’t stop there right?!

This design seemed appropriate for spin class when I just feel like I can’t push myself further lol.

Ok so this is where the craft fail happens…..vinyl doesn’t work so well on a squeeze water bottle because this happens….

But do you want to know where it works perfectly?

This one is my favorite!!!!

Snow Sculpture

Every year we drive to a small little lake town a couple hours away from us for their annual “Snow fest”. It is filled with events and fun such as a biathlon, dog sled races, chili feed, and our favorite the snow sculptures. This one was by far the winner in my book……

It was titles “he’s got the whole world in his hands” cute huh?

Can you crochet?

Let me start by saying that I am an extreme novice when it comes to crochet, but honestly when I saw these I knew I had to ramp up my skills.

My amazingly talented friend came up with these patterns (as well as a few others) and just recently opened up an Etsy shop!! The patterns are inexpensive and super easy to follow. And she is so right when she said that it is rewarding to have a little critter in just one evening, as apposed to a blanket (if you have ever tried) that takes FOREVER.

I was thinking about what cute baby gifts these would make or that they would even be something you could attach to the top of a gift. And then it dawned on me that the next diaper cake I make will have these little darlings as decoration.  I have to be honest aside from the Celtic sea salt caramels that I can’t get enough of these are my current obsession.

I actually won something!!!

Ok I know people say all of the time “I never win anything” but I truly never do, until now. I entered a giveaway for a gift card on a blog I love to read Quirky Pickings and I totally won. Look what I got today (PS it totally made my day).

Oh and that card was perfection
