Anthropologie Inspired Tuxedo Scarf

One day I was blog surfing (gasp I know) and came across this fantastic tutorial for a tuxedo scarf at crafty habit. I ended up making two of these form the fabric suggested and I might even have enough for a third.

The first one I made seemed a little wide for my taste….

So I modified the width of the scarf and the ruffle by almost half and came up with this one that fits me perfectly. I love the purple and I love that it’s a little bit more dressy than the other styles I have!

What do you think? And what have you been sewing lately??

  2. I wish! I haven't sewn clothes in 9 years and wish I would get back into it. I made my wedding gown and bridesmaids gowns and I think that wore me out for a while :o)

Love the scarf. I'm into them lately. Just got me a Pashmina!

  11. Stopping by from SITS!

It's posts like yours that make me wish the sewing machine my grandmother gave me when I was 12 years old wasn't in my parents' attic collecting dust. I LOVE that scarf-- want to send one my way?
