Nesting

I know that I promised an Easter gift idea and I swear it’s still coming…….. but I can’t seem to get the decorative tag just right, so when I do it’s all yours. In the mean time I couldn’t wait to show off my latest obsession.

It started with a  home made paper mache  mixture, tissue paper, and a few plastic eggs super glued together.

IMG_8083

My son doesn’t love to have his hands super messy (I know he’s a boy what’s up with that right?) but he still had fun creating his own eggs.

IMG_8088

I let them dry for about 24 hours. Then with some sticks, twigs, a tumbleweed, and yep that’s right hot glue I made some nests for these little guys.

IMG_8086

Put it all together and you’ve got…….

And here is my Son’s version (he refused to leave out any eggs lol)

  1. So cute! I've seen some tumbleweeds around here that would look perfect with those! ;) Although, I think my husband would wonder what's gotten into me for bringing a tumbleweed into the house! ;)

  9. I thought you were going to tell me you made your sweet wall hanging above the table, I was totally impressed . . . but the nest is sweet too and so very cute :) If I get ambitious this week I will have to make some with my boys. Cohen has been telling me for weeks we need easter decorations or else the easter bunny won't come :)
